Ken Jennings' 74-Game Streak: Final, Final Jeopardy! | H&R Block | JEOPARDY!
3 105 Դիտումներ 313հզր
Two Weeks after Pacers Pistons brawl will known as "Malice at the Palace". On the Eve of the EXECUTION of Frances Newton in Texas.
Plot twist: Ken Jennings lost all his earnings and now works for FedEx
Please...you're going to tell me that Ken Jennings gets every answer right for a month and months and then suddenly doesn't know h&r block? That was a dive for sure, whether he was in some kind of a conspiracy to do so or not is unsure. But Ken Jennings definitely do h&r block
It's like seeing the anime protagonist pass down his torch to the next generation
How is it H&R Block has not hired Ken as a national pitchman?
Of all the questions to lose on, I barely made it through 4th grade and immediately thought of Block
"All good things have to come to an end." RIP Alex Trebek
Why was there only 2 contestants in this episode?
There were 3. If a contestant doesn't have any money to wager by the end of Double Jeopardy, they lose
Further proof that Zerg is OP.
I’m sad that Ken Jennings won’t be guest-hosting anymore. He felt like the appropriate successor to Trebek from day one. I really hope he ends up becoming the permanent host.
His 74 game win streak, ends on a question with a seven and a four and it hmmm what a coincidence. It’s almost like 74 is a super important number to the people who script this show
That collective gasp is as human as it gets.
I wonder if H&R Block filed Ken's taxes on his wins!
I loved watching Alex, the best host of all time. But, I really like Ken as host. I’m pretty sure I heard he’s only on for three months and then they have someone else lined up (did I hear it was Katie Couric?) I’d really like Ken to remain the host; he lives the game so much, and he has a great combination of nerdiness and humor.
Cool
I want Ken winning more
I imagine he has always done his own taxes, irs wins again.
All good things come to an end. And now we are stuck with a woman as the host.
Interesting thing is that she lost the next day
Ken was honestly so humble. Took the L like a real champ
Why are there only two of them?
Because the 3rd contestant ended up in red, if someone after double jeopardy has $0 or less, they can not play in final jeopardy
Wow you can just hear the surprise of the crowd, that’s pretty cool
I was moved when Alex said to Ken "congratulations young man" now this young man is paying tribute to him.
Ken misread the clue, it said “white collar employees”... so delivery workers are now white collar?
@Bryan San Martin yes, because in the Christmas rush they need more management, not more people actually handling the packages.
Do you really think fedex doesn’t have white collar employees? Lmao
The current streak will last longer...
Ken’s secret plan was to shatter every Jeopardy record so he could cop a feel when he lost. He waited till he was heads up with a lady to ensure the cop.
The smooth payment causally head because mandolin optically desert via a lovely pimple. tacky, six linda
Alex's tweak at the end about Ken adding another whopping 2k to his total of $2.5 million for finishing second the day before was priceless.
Shades of Redford's Quiz Show! I find it nearly impossible to believe this brilliant man didn't correctly guess such an obvious and truly American business, which only operates briefly each year. But we'll never know, cause Ken ain't taking, and now he's the temporary host of that show after Alex's passing The answer jumped off the screen to me, and i ain't no genius, that's for sure.
ove ken
If Ken becomes the permanent host, contestants that want to troll Ken will use either of these guesses when they are out of ideas. We've already seen H&R Block...
Alex, you will be greatly missed!
Ken Jennings don’t pay his taxes that’s why
Someone needs to write “what is a rake Ken?”
Nancy Zerg in 2004: I'm going to end this whole Man's CAREER and the STREAK
Dang, I feel like this is one of the easier Final Jeopardy questions. I guess even Ken Jennings is human.
I can remember watching this and guessing H&R Block correctly. And Jennings lost! 😂
I swear she says to him "I'm sorry" 0:44
She does
That truly was an epic run. James string of games was incredible too. But the 74 game streak will never be broken
I think Ken knew the answer but got tired of winning so put down the wrong answer
That's what I always thought
Classy in victory and classy in defeat - way to go Ken Jennings! And you're fantastic host of the show too.
All good things must come to an end, such as Alex Trebek hosting Jeopardy. He will be missed! Enjoy your stay in heaven!
Who’s hear after Ken got trolled?
Nancycat!
Before the streak of the Undertaker, there was the streak of Ken Jennings, the original streak to beat
Ken is like "finally I get my money"
I really hope they choose ken as the new host
0:51 I swear those screams are pre recorded; They are being reused to this day
They are pre recorded
Nancycat!
Had to come back to this after Ken got trolled today 😂 would love to see him become the permanent host.
James holzhauer was pretty close to beating that, wow
@iiBallistic Panda ah gotcha
@Shane Dixon oops sorry I should have clarified, the amount in earnings
If by "close" you mean halfway than yeah
Now, the hints in the clue “white collar”, “seasonal job”, 4 months a year... Everything Ken knew it didn’t strike him that tax work is limited, and seasonal? Fed Ex? White collared?! His brain had to be tired. But out of all the winners with HUGE amounts of money I’m glad Ken is the G.O.A.T.!
Or he lost on purpose
Who’s here because of the recent troll made?
Nancycat!
@0:22 if watch Ken's fingers tap the podium when Alex says she is right. His non-verbals showed he had the wrong response.
Ken Jennings for Permanent Host!!!
I read he does not want to be the permanent host
Who’s here because of today’s episode?
Yes. I said to my wife, "That was Ken's final question". Then I wanted to know the wording of the answer.
Me
@Fries with Eyes Come on, this is one neck rub!
Nancycat!
Come on, this is one neck rub.
Rest in peace Alex. You'll be forever missed.
Came here after Ken got trolled by a contestant who put H&R Block as his response....he wasn't correct
A recent contestant had Fed Ex twice as her Final Jeopardy answer when she didn't know the answer.
He’s a on 6 game streak now
Now i know ..
that was epic trolling lmao
Yeah brother!
Tonight’s episode was pretty good.
Jmyes . Ken's doing a great job!
Ken Jennings as the guest host just referenced this loss in tonight’s episode (jan 19 2021)) because of the new champion who gave a response of H& R block. (And this new champ Brian was in the same podium as Nancy 😆)
Nancycat!
Came here after H&R Block quesiton on final jeopardy 1/19/2021
Nancycat!
Yeah lol
Anyone here after Brian trolled him
@Chris Finch Nancycat!
Nancycat!
Well, that was not correct there, but at this point then, it was.
Lmao Ken got a Vietnam Flashback on Jan 19 2021
Nancycat!
Every rope has an end. 😓
“sometimes h&r block is the right answer, just not today.” - ken jennings, 1/19/21
@Michael Nguyen Hi! I knew kung fu!
You have to admit, Brian Chang had one sick burn! 🔥
@T Bone Nawwww he seems like a happy, well-adjusted young man, and he couldn't have done a better job as guest host in his first try. I like it when good things happen to good people. Just my opinion.
It’s SAD because it killed his winning streak & for him being a guest host it brought back bad memories that haunted him.
@Kaden Watt same
Mans just got roasted
F
A strange gamble she made by assuming she would beat him by one dollar.
This stuff makes me cry
RIP Alex
What’s the deal with women taking out the greats? Ken, James , and Rogers. Good job ladies!
How long did she last?
Is no one pointing out that Ken thought FedEx was a firm?
LONG LIVE JEOPARDY!
Ken really got to know Alex as a friend during this time. I’m very jealous.
this is the only final jeopardy question I have gotten right
Ken is the new interim host since 11th January 2021.
#RIPAlexTrebek #SoLongAlex #ThankYouAlex
I appreciate that the director allowed Nancy to have her champion's shot with her money total chyron solo! Saw what was happening and decided to wait for Ken to show good sportsmanship, then allowed Nancy to have her solo moment in the sun. Good on them!
“All good things have to come to an end” c’mon Alex why’d you have to do that to us 😭😭😭
Love you Alex “♥️” Rest In Peace 🙏
I can't believe this was over 16 years ago. I watched a good chunk of Ken Jennings's streak with my great-grandma back in the day. She loved watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. RIP to my gma and Alex T; I hope she finally got to meet him in the afterlife.
Ken Jennings now hosting Jeopardy RIP Alex Trebek
Jennings had quite the run and is doing an excellent job as guest host today.
Has anyone yet beat Ken Jennings' record? Also RIP to the amazing Alex Trebek you were truly one of a kind and you will be missed!!
Money wise, maybe? Definitely not streak, the closest win streak is James Holzhauer and his streak wasn’t even half as long as Ken’s
He's still undefeated at 2.5 million in 75 shows. James Holzhauer is 2nd with 2.4 million in 33 shows.
This gives me chills down my spine as this changed history.
And now Ken Jennings is the new host
Brian got wrong this time.
Rigged ass shit lol
I remember watching all the Ken Jennings episodes when I was younger, especially the day his streak ended. The man was and still is a living legend.
You can just. Man. You can see the respect Alex has for Ken just oozing out of him. Such a touching moment when they chat. Alex Trebek is the biggest Jeopardy fan of all time. His life was Jeopardy that's what he did. He speaks about Ken like Michael Jordan. You can see his like, Alex wants people to recognize Ken as something more than he is. He knows this is The. Best. Jeopardy. Player. Ever. Bar none. Ken loves gameshows too, it's like a match made in heaven. So amazing.
You know he knew it was H&R Block but he just got tired of doing this everyday
RIP Alex miss seeing ya. I think Alex had already picked him too take over. I hope he becomes the new permanent host cause no one deserves it more and alex would agree.
I like how ken pointed over to his greatest of all time trophy.
He's the Lou Gehrig of Jeopardy.
Now Ken Is guest hosting. We love you Alex
i was in complete shock when he missed the final jeopardy clue and got dethroned. he dug his own grave by wagering too much in both daily doubles in double jeopardy, which kept nancy zerg in the game. had he bet small, his streak would extend to 75 games and god knows how long his streak would've gone.
This man deserves to be guest host. This is most honorable to Alex.
Alex: I don't think you're record will ever be broken *James has entered the chat*
I mean Alex was still right technically
Someone in the audience must've said Sgninnej Nek and he was sent back to the 5 dimension to live out his retirement.
I’ll never forget when this happened. I always watched Jeopardy! with my Granny when I was growing up and we became huge fans of Ken. Even on days that I couldn’t go to her house to watch it, we would sometimes talk on the phone during the show or right after it would end to talk about his streak. We watched practically every one of his episodes together in some form. On the day that he lost, I had just gotten out of school and was watching it at my Mom’s house. As soon as it was revealed that he had lost, my Granny called me and we were both in absolute shock. We couldn’t believe it. Ken had become like a hero to me so I even cried a little bit. Even as I got older I would still go to my Granny’s house to watch Jeopardy! as often as I could and she would always say that she wanted me to try and audition for the show. She passed away in October of 2016 and one of the last things we did together was watch Jeopardy! a few days before she passed. This show will always hold a special place in my heart and Ken’s run will always bring back great memories of spending time with my Granny. Now that Alex is gone too, it feels especially painful. I will always be thankful for this show and for Alex for giving me years of great memories of bonding with her. Maybe one day I will make it on the show just like my Granny always wanted so I can honor her memory. Even if I don’t, thank you Alex and Jeopardy! for all of the memories. The producers will never know how much of an impact their 30 minute long program has had on my life. RIP Granny and Alex.
Ken Jennings' first episode as host will air next Monday night.
All good things must come to an end...unfortunately. RIP Alex.
True that. #ThankYouAlex
RIP ALEX TREBEK!
