EVERY ONE OF US WILL FAIL, THE REAL QUESTION IS HOW WILL WE RESPOND?
Failure Lab showcases the untold struggles behind successful people. Failure Lab events are filled with storytellers and entertainers recounting their most memorable brush with failure. The events are designed to expose the adversity behind success, and create meaningful dialogue around our roadblocks to change. By sharing struggles, people can learn from the failures of others and dismantle the stigma around failure. In order to have honest conversations about success, we need to have honest conversations about failure. The unique event brings organizations and communities together through powerful stories, crowdsourced lessons, and music.

I once had a goldfish. I was cleaning his tank. His water was really dirty, and I put him in a glass in the kitchen while I cleaned his tank. My friend was over, too. I went away for a minute, and my mom had poured my fish down the garbage disposal in the sink ‘cause she didn’t know my fish was in there. She turned on the disposal, and I screamed that my fish had been in that glass. And what did she do after saying sorry? My friend laughs. Then my MOM starts to laugh at my friggin puréed goldfish. I cried my eyes out. That sh*t ain’t funny! 😭

You did what you had to do, which is commendable. Still, I think no one should ever have to be in that dire situation. I wish no one had to endure poverty. Financial solidarity should exist and society should provide a safety net. No one should have to worry about securing the next meal for their children.
